Quasi un mese fa vi abbiamo messo in guardia sul fatto che alcune unità di POCOPHOHE F1, presumibilmente il primo lotto destinato al mercato indiano, soffrivano di problemi al display in abse a quanto dichiarato da alcuni utenti. In particolare il problema è conosciuto come fenomeno di Screen Bleed, e si manifesta con una sorta di scolorimento dei bordi dello schermo creando di fatto una sorta di effetto “sanguinamento”. Da allora l’azienda non si era espressa sullo spiacevole fenomeno mentre in queste ore tramite un tweeter, il team POCO ha ammesso che circa lo 0,3% degli utenti possessore di POCOPHONE F1 è afflitto da tale bug hardware e che i centri di assistenza saranno lieti di risolvere il problema.
Il comunicato è relativo all’India ma speriamo che abbia valore anche su scala globale, in quanto anche alcuni utenti italiani hanno lamentato il fenomeno sulle proprie unità di POCOPHONE F1. Nel comunicato viene anche specificato che il fastidioso “bug” in realtà su molte unità non è tale, ma è da ricondursi ad un gradiente colore di MIUI 9 che genera questo strano effetto, tanto che in MIUI 10 è stato eliminato. Quindi il probema sembra circoscritto a poche unità, mentre per tutte le altre la soluzione potrebbe arrivare proprio con un futuro aggionamento a MIUI 10.

Recently, a few POCO Fl users mentioned they experienced “screen bleeding”, owing to a bright gradient on the bottom of the display on certain screens. We would like to clarify that certain screens on MIUI 9 (MIUI for POCO) feature a gradient by design (including the power screen), and this is not screen bleeding. Further, this gradient screen has been removed from MIUI 10 onwards.
On a separate note, a very small number of POCO Fl users (less than 0.3% of total users) have experienced edge light dispersion, which is a phenomenon that does not affect the performance or usability of the phone in any manner whatsoever. At Xiaomi, we believe in providing highest quality, and keeping that in mind, we are further reducing tolerances to ensure users are provided with an experience they’ve come to expect of Xiaomi.
We would encourage users to walk in to any of our 1000+ service centres and get their POCO Fl examined by an expert if they are facing any irregularities.
